NTA exam calendar to March 2027: JEE Main from 22 January, UGC-NET from 14 December
The National Testing Agency has published a tentative calendar of exams up to March 2027, covering JEE Main 2027 Session 1, UGC-NET December 2026, CMAT and CUET-PG. Here are the dates students need to plan around.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) published its examination calendar for the period up to March 2027 on 16 September 2026. The calendar lists tentative dates for several national entrance and eligibility tests. Detailed information bulletins, with registration dates, fees and eligibility, will be issued separately for each exam.

The calendar also covers smaller tests such as the Rashtriya Indian Military College exam (6 December 2026), the Rashtriya Military Schools test (13 December 2026) and the All India Sainik Schools exam (31 January 2027).
JEE Main 2027
JEE Main 2027 will again be held in two sessions, January and April 2027. For Session 1, NTA has listed six exam days in the second half of January, with 31 January reported as a buffer day. Registration has not yet opened; it is expected once NTA releases the information bulletin on its JEE Main portal.
UGC-NET December 2026
The UGC-NET December cycle is planned for 14–19 December, with the Joint CSIR-UGC NET on 20–21 December. As of 2 October 2026, the application window had not been announced. Candidates should watch the official UGC-NET portal for the notification.
What students should do now
- Keep documents ready: Class 10 and 12 certificates, a recent photograph, signature and a valid ID.
- Use the same name and date of birth as on your school records to avoid mismatch problems later.
- Note that NTA has said the calendar dates are tentative and may change.
