EPFO wage ceiling raised to ₹25,000: over 51 lakh more employees get PF, pension and insurance cover

The EPFO wage ceiling for mandatory coverage has gone up from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 a month from 17 September 2026, bringing more than 51 lakh additional employees under PF, pension and insurance cover.

Labour Codes: why Basic + DA must now be at least 50% of your salary

The four Labour Codes in force since 21 November 2025 cap allowances at 50% of pay — which can raise PF and gratuity and trim take-home pay.
